The service performance of rivet fasteners depends on product quality, hole size, pressing equipment, force and plate condition. Following standard rules can effectively prevent loosening, falling off, plate deformation and cracking.
Use metal plates with suitable thickness and hardness. Holes must be smooth and burr-free with standard diameter. Too large holes cause loosening, while too small holes lead to plate cracking. Avoid drilling holes on folded edges and sharp corners.
Put the rivet part into the hole and keep it vertical. Press down evenly with hydraulic or pneumatic riveting equipment. Check flatness after pressing to make sure the rivet part fits closely with the plate.
Insufficient pressure leads to loose connection. Excessive pressure causes plate dent and tear. Adjust pressure according to product size and plate thickness to achieve firm riveting and smooth surface.
Keep threads straight for rivet nuts to ensure smooth assembly. Guarantee verticality for rivet studs to avoid position deviation. Check expansion effect of expansion rivet nuts for uniform stress.
Do not twist or pull rivet parts violently after installation. Use stainless steel or reinforced products for outdoor and vibrating environments. Inspect riveting positions regularly and deal with looseness and deformation in time to ensure structural safety.
